Most of us like to watch TV or to listen to music sitting on a comfortable armchair or sofa and control your TV set and music centre remotely - switch between channels and CD-s, turn off the sound during the annoying advertisement... In other words, remote control feature became an essential part of modern technics for entertainment and work.

Nowadays we have an opportunity to use a single computer for all the kinds of entertainment mentioned above. However, often remote control feature is supported by specific TV-tuners software only and unfortunately it is not typical for the most of software.

The general idea of Remotty project is to connect any user's remote control device with the needed multimedia applications and thus make it more comfortable to use them.

At first we decided to connect some TV-tuners remote control devices (like the most widely used with computers) to popular multimedia applications.

Currently we are working on enabling new tv-tuner cards and connecting them with new applications per our user's requests.

Initially the Remotty project was named as AVerRC - it is an acronym of AVerMedia Remote Control. Further with supporting many of the remotes we have decided to rename it.
